発明の概要(英語) None of the existing silkworm-origin cultured cells has a sufficiently high BmNPV growth efficiency. In a system with the use of such existing silkworm-origin cultured cells, therefore, it takes a long time to construct a recombinant virus and a virus solution with a high titer cannot be produced. Under these circumstances, it is intended to provide a cell line Bme21 (FERM P-20852), which originates in silkworm embryo and is highly sensitive to BmNPV, or a variant thereof having the biologically equivalent properties thereto. It is also intended to provide a method of producing a recombinant virus, a method of producing a recombinant protein, a method of elevating the efficiency in the production of a recombinant virus and a method of elevating the efficiency in the production of a recombinant protein each using the cell line Bme21 or a variant thereof.
