発明の概要(英語) Provided is a device for suppressing sustained discharge by using a capacitance arranged in gaps of a solar battery array so that the capacitance function suppresses sustained discharge on the solar battery array. The solar battery array (3) includes a plurality of solar battery cells (1) constituting a power source mounted on an artificial satellite (4). A plurality of solar battery cells (1) are connected in series to constitute a plurality of series circuits (2). The plurality of series circuits (2) are connected in parallel to one another. In the device for suppressing sustained discharge on the solar battery array, a capacitance (7) charged by voltage oscillation generated by the sustained discharge is connected between a positive electrode side line (5)and a negative electrode side line (6) of the series circuits (2). The capacitance (7) has an electrostatic capacitance in the range at least between 33 nF and 10 .mu.F.
