発明の概要(英語) A transcranial electrical stimulation device (1) comprises a wear member (2) detachably worn on the skull of a patient and at least a pair of electrodes (4) attached to the wear member (2). The motor area of the cerebrum cortex of the patient is electrically stimulated by outputting current through one of the electrodes (4) connected to a current generator. A securing section (6) capable of securing the wear member (2) to the scalp with a string body (8) is provided to the wear member (2). The electrodes (4) are provided to the wear member (2) projectabley toward the head, and the tips of the electrodes (4) can be stuck through under the skin of the head. It is unnecessary to drill the skull outer table of the patient. Therefore, the installation of the electrodes can be done in a short time. The electrodes can be installed in predetermined positions of the head with precision, and the cerebrum cortex motor area can be effectively stimulated.
