発明の概要(英語) Disclosed is RNA capable of inhibiting the expression of ZFAT gene, which is siRNA composed of sense RNA for a sequence comprising contiguous 20 to 30 nucleotides, preferably 23 to 27 nucleotides, lying within ZFAT mRNA and antisense RNA for a sequence complementary to the aforementioned sequence, or shRNA comprising double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) formed by linking the sense RNA to the antisense RNA via a loop sequence. The RNA capable of inhibiting the expression of ZFAT gene can decrease the cell growth rate of a cancer cell or the like and induce the apoptosis of a cell such as a cancer cell through the inhibition of the expression of ZFAT gene. The RNA can also inhibit an immune response through the inhibition of the expression of ZFAT gene. Therefore, the RNA is particularly useful for the development of a molecule-targeting therapeutic agent for a cancer cell or an immunosuppressant agent.
