発明の概要(英語) Provided is a fluid machine wherein the casing can be designed and manufactured easily, a vortex flow is formed by the shape of the casing, a negative pressure region of strong negative pressure is attained on the outlet side, and unsteady flow which increases the velocity of the internal flow is utilized. Also provided are a windmill, and a method for increasing the velocity of the internal flow. The invention is principally characterized by the fact that the standard shape of a casing (2) is defined by a cycloid curve connecting between the leading edge (2b) and the trailing edge (2d) and having a protrusion at an axial position corresponding to the throat (2a) between the leading and trailing edges, the throat (2a) and a vortex generation surface (2c) which generates a negative pressure region on the downstream side from the throat (2a) are formed on the inner circumferential surface (201) of the casing (2), a second outflow gradient which separates the internal flow is formed on the boundary of the throat-side adjacent surface adjoining the vortex generation surface (2c), a first outflow gradient is formed at the trailing edge (2d) on the outer circumferential surface (202) of the casing (2), and the velocity of the internal flow is increased by generating a negative pressure region of strong vorticity on the back of the vortex generation surface (2c) by the non-streamlined casing.
