発明の概要(英語) Provided is a flow path device having a nano size flow path in which one molecule flows, at least one pair of electrodes disposed in the vicinity thereof, and an AC power supply for applying an AC voltage to the electrodes. This device is useful for identifying molecules one by one. Further provided is a flow path device provided with a nano size flow path in which one molecule flows, a branch portion, and a plurality of branch flow paths. In the flow path device, i) a pair of electrodes are disposed in the vicinity of the nano size flow path so that the nano size flow path is intervened between the electrodes, or ii) one of the pair of electrodes is disposed in the vicinity of the nano size flow path, and the other is disposed in the vicinity of the branch flow path. This device is useful for separating one molecule. This flow path device attains 100% identification and separation accuracy in principle. A sample processing device is provided with the flow path device, a measurement unit, and an arithmetic processing unit. The measurement unit applies a (DC or AC) voltage between the electrodes of the pair of electrodes disposed in the nano size flow path, measures an electrical signal at the time when one molecule passes between the electrodes, and identifies the one molecule.
