Point contact array, NOT circuit and electronic circuit using the same
The present invention provides a point contact array wherein a plurality of point contacts, NOT circuits and the electronic circuits using the same are arrayed, which electrically and reversibly control the conductance between electrodes while applicable to a calculation circuit, a logic circuit, a memory element, and the like.The circuits are formed of plural point contacts using and comprising a first electrode comprising a mixed conductor material of ion conductivity and electron conductivity
second electrodes comprising conductive material. The conductance of the point contact is controlled to constitute a circuit. Ag2S, Ag2Se, Cu2S, or Cu2Se is preferred as the mixed conductor material. If a conductor or an insulator material is inserted between the electrodes, the crystal body or amorphous body of GeSx, GeSex, GeTex, or Wox (0 < x < 100) is preferred. Also, a NOT circuit is composed of a device which is an atomic switch composed of a two-terminal element, and comprises a first electrode made of a mixture of conductive materials having ion-conductivity and electron conductivity and a second electrode made of a conductive material and in which the conductance between electrodes can be controlled.
