発明の概要(英語) Disclosed are: an UCST-type temperature-responsive polymer compound which responds to a temperature under physiological conditions and has biological functionality; and various uses thereof as a temperature-responsive material. Specifically disclosed is a temperature-responsive material which contains, as an active ingredient, a polymer compound represented by general formula (I) or an addition salt thereof. The temperature-responsive material is characterized by having an upper critical solution temperature within the range of 5-50 [RING ABOVE] C in an aqueous solution with a salt concentration of at least 1 mM, said aqueous solution having a pH within the range of 3-10.5. (In the formula, m represents an integer of 10 or more; n represents a number satisfying 0.4 <= n <= 1; R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a succinyl group; and R2 represents a carbamoyl group.)
