Provided is a carbon dioxide enrichment device which has high enrichment performance and is significantly reduced in the energy required for driving the device. A carbon dioxide enrichment device which comprises: a gas diffusion electrode (1)

a gas diffusion electrode (2) that is arranged at a distance from the gas diffusion electrode (1)

and an electrolyte solution (3) that is present between the gas diffusion electrode (1) and the gas diffusion electrode (2) so as to be in contact with the gas diffusion electrode (1) and the gas diffusion electrode (2). The carbon dioxide enrichment device is characterized in that: the electrolyte solution (3) contains a solvent and a solute that is dissolved in the solvent

the solute is dissolved in the solvent, thereby producing dissolved inorganic carbon which contains at least one of carbonic acid, hydrogen carbonate ion and carbonate ion

oxygen is consumed by an oxygen reduction reaction and dissolved inorganic carbon is produced by dissolution of carbon dioxide in the solvent and an ionization reaction of the carbon dioxide at the gas diffusion electrode (1)

the dissolved inorganic carbon derived from the solute or the dissolved inorganic carbon produced at the gas diffusion electrode (1) is transported to the gas diffusion electrode (2)

and oxygen is produced from the solvent and carbon dioxide is produced from the dissolved inorganic carbon in the vicinity of the gas diffusion electrode (2) by the oxidation reaction of the solvent at the gas diffusion electrode (2).
