OVERTURN RISK CALCULATION SYSTEM
The present invention provides an overturn risk calculation system capable of calculating a degree of risk of overturning that represents an index of an overturn risk on the basis of hull oscillation without the use of hull information. The present invention is provided with: an acceleration sensor for detecting vertical reciprocal motion of a boat (7) as vertical oscillation about a virtual-oscillation center axis (O)
an angle speed sensor for detecting a simple pendulum motion in a rolling direction relative to the center axis of the boat (7) as a simple pendulum motion relative to the oscillation center axis (O) of the center of gravity (G) of the boat (7)
and a calculating unit for calculating the oscillation radius (1) connecting the oscillation center axis (O) and the center of gravity (G) of the boat (7), and an overturn limit oscillation radius Lmax connecting the oscillation center axis (O) and a metacenter (M) of the boat 7, both radii being obtained on the basis of the detection results obtained from the acceleration sensor (4) and the angle speed sensor (5).
