発明の概要(英語) Provided is a device for the continuous generation of single-component cryogenic fine solid particles, said device having a simple structure and making it possible to continuously generate single-component cryogenic fine solid particles at low cost and without using cryogenic helium as a cryogen. The device contains a mixing section (10) that generates a single-component multiphase flow by mixing a cryogenic supercooled liquid with a high-speed flow of cryogenic gas formed from the same element as the supercooled liquid, and a Laval nozzle section (11) which is situated downstream of the mixing section (10) and generates, from the single-component multiphase flow generated in the mixing section (10), a mist flow containing cryogenic fine solid particles. The Laval nozzle section (11) has an introduction section (11a), a reduced-diameter section (11b) with a smaller opening cross-sectional area than that of the introduction section (11a), and a spray section (11c), which has a larger opening cross-sectional area than that of the reduced-diameter section (11b) and which expands in the downstream direction. The mist flow containing single-component cryogenic fine solid particles is continuously generated in the spray section (11c) by adiabatic expansion in a state in which the single-component multiphase flow exceeds the speed of sound.
