発明の概要(英語) Provided are an adaptive optical system and an optical device with which wavefront phase aberrations can be corrected more accurately than in the past, regardless of the distance between the observed target and a turbulent layer, or the size of the observed target, and which also has a wider correction range than in the past. This adaptive optical system is provided with a wavefront phase modulator for performing aberration correction on entering light and outputting the corrected light; and an image conjugation position adjustment mechanism by which the positions of the plane of image conjugation and the turbulence correction plane formed by the wavefront phase modulator are freely adjusted within a sample. Using the image conjugation position adjustment mechanism, the fluctuation correction plane is adjusted so as to bring about image conjugation with respect to the turbulent layer present in the sample.
