発明の概要(英語) Provided is an embedding medium for specimen preparation, which, during preparation of a curable base material non-penetrating specimen, will not thermally invade tissue, and experiences a minimum of wrinkling and rupture when thinly sliced, and with which the location of tissue within the embedding medium can be ascertained, the embedding medium for specimen preparation furthermore being used to prepare a curable base material penetrating specimen having a surface identical to that of a curable base material non-penetrating specimen. The problem is solved by using an embedding medium for specimen preparation, the embedding medium including a gelatin which, when prepared as an aqueous solution, is in the liquid state at 15-25°C, and in the solid state at 4°C.
