発明の概要(英語) This liquid jet discharge device is equipped with: a narrow tube that is cylindrical and open on both ends thereof, and has a dischargeable liquid positioned therein, the contact angle of which is less than 90° relative to at least the inner surface; a container having a transmission medium that is capable of transmitting pressure to the dischargeable liquid and provided on the floor-section side thereof, where the one end of the narrow tube is located; and an adjustment mechanism for performing a positional shift in the axial direction of the narrow tube of the fluid level of the dischargeable liquid in the narrow tube and the transmission-medium interface outside the narrow tube and inside the container; and a generation mechanism for causing the transmission medium to generate a pressure wave so as to discharge a liquid jet from the dischargeable liquid inside the narrow tube.
