Title ROTATING MACHINE
Abstract A rotating machine allows a body to be cooled in a rotor rotating around a rotation axis line to be cooled by the thermosiphon effect and is provided with: a condensing unit disposed outside the rotor and condensing a refrigerant; an evaporation unit for evaporating, inside the rotor, the liquid-phase refrigerant condensed by the condensing unit to exchange heat with the body to be cooled; and a connecting pipe allowing the refrigerant to flow back and forth between the evaporation unit and the condensing unit and having a bend portion. The connecting pipe has a pipe structure in which a liquid-phase refrigerant flow path in which the liquid-phase refrigerant condensed in the condensing unit circulates and a gas-phase refrigerant flow path in which the gas-phase refrigerant evaporated in the evaporation unit circulates are each provided separately. This makes it possible for the rotating machine to stably maintain a heat transport capability between the condensing unit and the evaporation unit even when the entire device tilts or swings.
