PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railroad vehicle capable of ensuring the traveling safety even when a considerably large external force is applied thereto during an earthquake or the like.
SOLUTION: In a regulating mechanism 30, when the force for pressing a holder 31 of a center pin 21 exceeds a predetermined value, a mechanical fuse bolt 33 is broken, and the predetermined energy is absorbed during the breakage. The holder 31 is pressed in while the holder slides along a truck frame 13, a coil spring 35 is press-contracted between the holder 31 and the truck frame 13, and an aluminum honeycomb 37 is crush-deformed. Most of the considerably large energy in the horizontal direction during an earthquake or the like is absorbed by the elastic deformation of the coil spring 35 and the plastic deformation of the aluminum honeycomb 37. After the energy is absorbed and the force in the right-to-left direction is reduced, the center pin 21 is restored to the center position in the width direction of a truck 11 by the restoring force of the coil spring 35. Thus, the displacement over the predetermined stroke of a vehicle body 2 with respect to the truck 11 is prevented, and the posture of the vehicle body 2 is maintained at the center in the width direction of the truck 11.
