PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bogie steering type railway vehicle having an advantage such as a realization of a fail-safe function for an emergency with a simple structure.
SOLUTION: A center pin 14 of a lower surface of a car body 10 is fitted in the center of a bogie 11 freely to turn. Each actuator 20 is arranged in a right and a left side surfaces of a bogie frame 13 in the cross direction thereof. As the actuator 20, a double chamber type pneumatic actuator capable of separately supplying and discharging air to/from inside two air chambers is used. When the left and the right actuators 20L and 20R are shrunken, the bogie 11 is turned counterclockwise (with a view from over) in relation to the car body 11, and when the left and the right actuators 20L and 20R are extended, the bogie 10 is turned clockwise (with a view from over) in relation to the car body 10. A controller 33 controls supply and discharge of the air to/from the actuator 20 in response to a curvature radius of the curved railway.
