PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for bringing and separating gas into contact with or from particles such as a small-sized solid-gas multiphase flow type heat exchanger or the like with high heat exchanging efficiency and high reliability, by mixing the gas with the particles and bringing and separating the gas into contact with and from the particles.
SOLUTION: A gas outlet 27 is formed at a center of an upper end of a separating cylinder 20. A gas inlet 28 is formed at its periphery. And, spiral flow of the gas is injected from the inlet 28 by a spiral flow supplying mechanism 23. The flow of the gas is inverted at upper and lower parts in the cylinder 20, and exhausted from the outlet 27. Particles are supplied from a particle inlet 34 at a center of an upper end of the cylinder 20. The particles are intersected from the spiral flow of the rising gas at the center to the spiral flow of the gas falling at the periphery by a centrifugal force, brought into contact with the gas, arrived at an inner periphery of the cylinder 20, and separated.
