PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound capable of imparting metallic surfaces with such performances as stainproofness, nontackiness, antifoggingness, releasability, lubricity and freezeproofness, and excellent in reactivity, solubility and surface activity.
SOLUTION: This new compound is shown by formula I ((n) is 1-12; R is CmH2m+1; (m) is 0-24; M1 and M2 are each H or an alkali metal), e.g. 6- perfluoroalkylamino-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-dithiol. The compound of formula I is obtained through the following process: using a perfluorocarboxylic acid as starting material, the corresponding perfluoro group-bearing secondary amine is synthesized and then reacted with cyanuric chloride to form a perfluoro group-contg. triazine chloride of formula II, which, in turn, is reacted with sodium hydrosulfide in an alcohol or dimethylformamide. This compound of formula I enables a perfluoro group-contg. coating film to be formed on a metallic surface by dipping process, tribological technique or electrolytic polymerization process, therefore, being applicable to e.g. connector materials, metallic gears; furthermore, the above coating film is effective for the complexation with a fluorine compound.
