量子効果等の物理現象 異方的超伝導体の量子効果と新電磁波機能発現の研究

報告名称 量子効果等の物理現象 異方的超伝導体の量子効果と新電磁波機能発現の研究
報告概要 1998年度に大型装置を立ち上げこれを用いて本格的な研究をスタートした。量子効果の研究では良質なジョセフソン接合,トンネル接合の作製,および良質な薄膜成長が重要で,その最適条件について重点的に検討した。また新電磁波機能の研究では,微弱な電磁波測定技術の体得に重点を置いて研究した。これにより得られた注目すべき成果を次に示した。
1)高温超伝導YBa2Cu3O7-y/I/Agトンネル接合でのゼロバイアスコンダクタンスの挙動について,図1のようなランプエッジ接合試料を作製して角度依存性に関する実験をし理論と一致する結果を得た。
2)準粒子注入トンネル接合からの電磁波放射研究により,Bi2Sr2CaCu2Oy単結晶を微細加工してメサ構造を作製し,これにAu電極を取り付けて準粒子注入を行うと,11~47GHzの受信周波数でブロードバンドなマイクロ波放射と鋭いマイクロ波放射が観測されることを発見した(図2参照)。
