Abstract Provided is a metal oxyhydride production method which is capable of synthesizing metal oxyhydride under a near-ordinary pressure reaction condition and is also excellent from the aspects of productivity and cost. This production method involves reacting an oxide and a metal hydride under a hydrogen atmosphere to produce metal oxyhydride. The non-oxygen element constituting the oxide consists of one species of non-oxygen element. In addition, the reaction pressure condition is 0.1 to 0.9 MPa, and the reaction temperature is 500 to 1,000°C.
Outline of related art and contending technology BACKGROUND ART
LaFeAs (O1-xHx) exhibiting superconducting properties, La2-x-ySrx + yLiH1-x + yO3-y exhibiting hydride ion conductivity, and the like have also been reported among oxyhydrides (oxyhydride) having hydride ions (H-ions) in the skeleton, and substances containing H-ions have attracted attention. In recent years, it has been reported that catalysts in which oxyhydrides such as BaTiO3-xHx, SrTiO3-xHx, CaTiO3-xHx, LnHO (Ln = Gd, and Sm) are combined with metal nanoparticles such as Ru exhibit high ammonia synthesis activity (Non-Patent Document 1 ~ 3).
Meanwhile, a method for synthesizing monocrystalline BaLn2O4 (Ln = lanthanide) and the like have been reported (for example, Non-Patent Document 4).
