Abstract Enterobacteriaceae bacteria modified in a matter such that O-acetylserine sulfhydrylase B activity declines, the enterobacteriaceae bacteria being characterized by being modified so as to have the C-terminal region of a thiosulfuric-acid-binding protein deleted therefrom, and in that the L-cysteine producing ability is increased when in the presence of a sulfate. Using this enterobacteriaceae bacteria makes it possible to inexpensively and efficiently produce L-cysteine.
Outline of related art and contending technology BACKGROUND ART
Cysteine, cystine include one, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food and the like are used in a wide variety of fields. Cysteine is, mainly, a person, animal hair from amino acids contained a lot, these classically produced by hydrolysis of the hair has been. Using a bacterium belonging to the family Enterobacteriaceae and cysteine in the case of producing, in general, media containing only sulfate as a sulfur source may be used, can be produced efficiently not cysteine, sulfate as a sulfur source in addition to the media containing the thiosulfate salt is used, it is possible to manufacture more efficient cysteine has been known.
However, thiosulfate salt is used as the source of sulfur, is very expensive compared to sulfate. Therefore, as a sulfur source, inexpensive sulfuric acid salt is used, and efficient development of a method for producing a cysteine is demanded.
