発明の概要(英語) Provided are a device for manufacturing an oriented body and a method for manufacturing an oriented body, said device and method easily and efficiently manufacturing an oriented body and being capable of manufacturing a large-size sheet-shaped oriented body. A magnetic-field generating part (14) having a plurality of magnets arranged along a material arrangement region (12) applies, to the material arrangement region (12), a magnetic field having a prescribed pattern in which the direction of the line of magnetic force differs for each position in a reference direction parallel to an imaginary straight line (18) included in the material arrangement region (12). A magnetic-field drive unit (16) changes the magnetic field applied to materials that are arranged in the material arrangement region (12) so that the magnetic field having a prescribed pattern moves or swings in the reference direction. For example, at least some of the magnets of the magnetic-field generating part (14) that applies a steady magnetic field are reciprocated in the reference direction relative to the material arrangement region (12). Alternatively, the magnetic field applied to the material arrangement region (12) is changed over time by controlling electrical current conduction through an electromagnet or a superconducting magnet of the magnetic-field generating part (14).
