Abstract Provided is a rare earth complex which comprises one or more trivalent rare earth ions and a plurality of ligands coordinating to the rare earth ions. The plurality of ligands includes: a first ligand which has a carborane group and a coordinating group that is bonded to a carbon atom of the carborane group and is capable of coordinating to the rare earth ions; and a second ligand which has a photosensitizing action.
Outline of related art and contending technology BACKGROUND ART
Used for image diagnosis of a living body with respect to contrast, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and has a function of both of optical imaging contrast of the contrast agent is a binary function has been proposed (for example, Patent Document 1).
On the other hand, composed of carbon atoms and boron atoms in the clusters having a carborane gadolinium complexes, can be used as the contrast of MRI have been reported (Non-Patent Document 1).
Scope of claims (In Japanese)[請求項1]
 1種以上の三価の希土類イオンと、該希土類イオンに配位している複数の配位子と、を有し、
 前記複数の配位子が、
 カルボラン基、及び該カルボラン基の炭素原子に結合し前記希土類イオンに配位可能な配位基を有する第一の配位子と、
 光増感作用を有する第二の配位子と、
を含む、
希土類錯体。

[請求項2]
 前記配位基がカルボキシラート基である、請求項1に記載の希土類錯体。

[請求項3]
 前記配位基がホスフィンオキシド基である、請求項1に記載の希土類錯体。

[請求項4]
 前記第一の配位子が2個の前記希土類イオンに配位しており、
 当該希土類錯体が、前記第一の配位子及び前記希土類イオンが交互に連結されることにより繰り返し構造を形成している、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の希土類錯体。

[請求項5]
 前記第二の配位子が、配位原子を含む複素芳香族基を有する複素芳香族化合物である、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の希土類錯体。

[請求項6]
 請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の希土類錯体を含む、放射線治療用光学イメージング剤。

[請求項7]
 請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の希土類錯体を含む、中性子線検出用シンチレーター。

[請求項8]
 下記式mpB 10、opB 10、mp 2B 10又はop 2B 10
[化1](省略)

で表され、式中のAr 1、Ar 2、Ar 3及びAr 4がそれぞれ独立に芳香族基を示す、カルボラン誘導体。
