発明の名称 (英語) BRAIN FUNCTION MEASUREMENT DEVICE AND BRAIN FUNCTION MEASUREMENT METHOD NEW
発明の概要(英語) A magnetic-field generating means (2) is arranged on the scalp (1) of a subject (P), and a magnetic field is generated which comes out from an N pole and returns to an S pole in a loop-shaped path through a cerebral cortex part (3) of the subject (P). A magnetic-field detecting means (5) is arranged on the scalp (1), and detects variation in the magnetic field (4) as a signal that reflects an activity state of the cerebral cortex part (3).
従来技術、競合技術の概要(英語) BACKGROUND ART
In recent years, as a method for non-invasively measuring the brain function, for example a functional near-infrared spectroscopy (Near Infra-Red Spectroscopy: NIRS) is proposed. In this method, captured from the eye or ear sensory organ such as a visual or aural information such as the brain into an electric signal propagates the information transmission function of nerve cells, brain capillaries as a change in the amount of oxygenated hemoglobin flowing through, near-infrared light is measured using the method.
Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2 is, by using functional near-infrared spectroscopy and non-invasively measuring brain activity in the cerebral cortex in a brain function measuring device are disclosed. This measurement device, the subject's scalp unit (hereinafter, may be referred to as scalp is) to the brain from the light source is arranged on the near-infrared light is irradiated, the light reflected and scattered light produced by irradiation of the same placed on the scalp can be received by a photoreceiver, the brain activity state of the capillary blood flow is measured as a change.
Further, through the brain and non-invasively by measuring the near-infrared light as a brain function measuring method, according to the invention is disclosed in Patent Document 3 and, near-infrared light of the light source disposed within the oral cavity from the bottom of the brain and scalp direction is irradiated with the near-infrared light, is disposed on the scalp by the transmitted light is received by the photodetector, the brain activity in the brain of the capillary blood flow is measured as a change. In this case, the deep portion of the brain for transmitting near infrared light, reflecting the activity within the brain are available to measure the brain function.
Further, the magnet or the like is used as a non-invasive brain function measuring apparatus, disclosed in Patent Document 4 and according to the invention, the magnetic field generation source such as a magnet placed within the oral cavity, the brain generates a magnetic field in the direction from the bottom to the scalp, the scalp is arranged on the magnetic field by measuring the magnetic field transmitted by the detector, the activities of the brain are measured as a change in the magnetic field.
