発明の概要(英語) To introduce a halogen into a material such as a protein without using an oxidizing agent, provided is a method for producing a halide, said method being characterized by comprising a step for applying a voltage to a solution that contains a material to be halogenated and a halogen, or a step for applying a voltage to a solution that contains a halogen and then adding a material to be halogenated to the solution, wherein the material to be halogenated is a protein, a peptide, a boron cluster or a low-molecular compound containing an aromatic ring.
従来技術、競合技術の概要(英語) BACKGROUND ART
Compounds containing radioactive halogen have been used for positron tomography (PET) and single-photon emission tomography (SPECT), and have been used for diagnosis of various diseases. In recent years, techniques have been proposed for killing cancer cells by irradiating cancer cells with radiation using antibodies into which radioactive halogen has been introduced. As a result, importance of introducing halogens into various substances, particularly proteins such as antibodies, has been increasing.
The introduction of halogen into the protein is generally performed using an oxidizing agent, and chloramine T is usually used as the oxidizing agent. However, chloramine T has a strong oxidizing power, which may denature the protein. Although there is also known a method of using an oxidizing agent (weaker than chloramine T, for example, lactoperoxidase or iodogen), such a method has a lower halogen introduction rate than a method of using chloramine T, and the problem of protein denaturation cannot be completely avoided.
