発明の概要(英語) The photoelectric conversion element according to the present invention is obtained by sequentially layering: a first layer (104) formed of a plurality of particles containing an inorganic semiconductor as a main component, or an aggregate or thin film thereof; a second layer (105) formed of a plurality of particles containing a perovskite structure as a main component in the surface of the aforementioned particles, or formed of an aggregate or a thin film of the plurality of particles; and a third layer (106A), (106B) formed of a plurality of particles containing an organic metal complex as a main component, or an aggregate or thin film thereof, wherein the energy level of the conduction band increases in the order of the first layer (104), the second layer (105), and the third layer (106A), (106B), and the energy level of the second layer (105) in the valence band is higher than the energy level of the third layer (106A), (106B).
従来技術、競合技術の概要(英語) BACKGROUND ART
Techniques for amplifying photocurrent using photoelectric conversion elements such as avalanche photodiodes and photomultipliers have been known. The avalanche photodiode amplifies a photocurrent by irradiating light between pn junctions made of inorganic semiconductors with a reverse voltage applied thereto, thereby repeating collisions between generated electrons and holes and a crystal lattice and generation of electrons and holes from the collided crystal lattice in a chain manner. The photomultiplier tube is composed of a plurality of diodes and a vacuum tube enclosing the diodes. by irradiating one diode with light, collision of generated electrons with the diodes and generation of electrons from the collided diodes are repeated in a chain manner, and photocurrent is amplified.
On the other hand, a photoelectric conversion element having a hybrid structure of an inorganic material and an organic material is disclosed in Non-Patent Document 1 and the like. In this photoelectric conversion element, an organic substance is bonded to the surface of titanium oxide through europium, and photoelectric current is amplified by electric charges generated by absorbing ultraviolet light by the organic substance.
