Abstract Provided are an electrolysis cell and an electrolysis device capable of easily electrolyzing carbon dioxide into carbon monoxide and oxygen with low activation energy. A carbon dioxide electrolysis cell of the present invention includes a cathode, an anode, and a solid electrolyte having oxide ion conductivity. The electrolytic cell according to claim 1, wherein the cathode is (a) or (b) below. The mayenite composite includes (a) a metal and a first mayenite type compound; and (b) a metal and a second mayenite type compound, wherein the second mayenite type compound includes a mayenite type compound having electron conductivity.
