発明の概要(英語) Provided is a novel fluororesin modifier that can be used for the modification of fluororesin molded articles. The fluororesin modifier contains a block copolymer that contains a constituent unit (A) derived from any monomer (A) selected from the group consisting of (meth)acrylates, (meth)acrylamides, vinyl ethers, vinyl esters, siloxanes, α-olefins, and substituted styrenes, that have an alkyl group having at least 8 carbons in side chain position, and a constituent unit (B) derived from a polar group-bearing monomer (B).
従来技術、競合技術の概要(英語) BACKGROUND ART
Fluororesins such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), which is a tetrafluoroethylene polymer, are used in various fields due to their excellent chemical stability, heat resistance, solvent resistance, weather resistance, electrical insulating properties, and the like. On the other hand, there are problems such as inert fluororesin surfaces and poor adhesion to other materials, and various modification methods have been studied in order to expand the use of fluororesins.
Known methods for modifying fluororesin include physical treatment such as plasma and laser, or a combination of this and chemical treatment. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses that when plasma irradiating the surface of a fluororesin molded article, a negative voltage is applied to the surface of the molded article. Disclosed is a surface modification method for a fluororesin molded article, the method comprising: physical modification in which the surface of the molded article is roughened by injecting ions in plasma into the surface of the molded article, and chemical modification in which fluorine atoms on the surface of the molded article are replaced with atoms other than fluorine atoms. Patent Document 2 discloses a fluororesin molded article comprising: a step (1) of introducing active points to the surface of the molded article by plasma irradiating the surface of the fluororesin molded article; and a step (1) of performing plasma irradiation in an atmosphere gas essentially containing a water-soluble monomer having an unsaturated bond, A step (2) of performing graft polymerization of the monomer at an active point on the surface of the molded article; and a step (3) of removing a homopolymer derived from the monomer accumulated on the surface of the molded article after graft polymerization.
Chemical etching treatment using chemicals such as sodium metal-ammonia solution or the like is also known as a chemical modification method of fluororesin.
Furthermore, the present inventors have found in Patent Document 3 that a copolymer having a structural unit derived from a first monomer (A) and a structural unit derived from a second monomer (B), the monomer (A) having a fluorinated alkyl group represented by a specific structural formula in a side chain thereof; (meth) acrylate, (meth) acrylamide, vinyl ether, vinyl ester, siloxane, α-olefin, and substituted styrene; and the monomer (B) is a monomer having a functional group.
