発明の概要(英語) The present invention addresses the problem of providing an electrode active material having a novel structure, said electrode active material enabling Li2S to be used as an electrode. The above-described problem is solved by a solid solution which contains Li, Cu and S as main constituents, while having an anti-fluorite crystal structure.
従来技術、競合技術の概要(英語) BACKGROUND ART
In recent years, demand for lithium-ion secondary batteries for storing power has increased in automobiles such as electric automobiles, hybrid automobiles, and the like, and power generation equipment such as solar cells, wind power generation, and the like. In addition, from the perspective of ensuring safety, all-solid batteries that do not use a liquid for the electrolyte layer but use a solid electrolyte have been actively studied. There is a demand for further enhancement of performance of these lithium-ion secondary batteries and all-solid batteries. Of these, Li2S has attracted attention as the material of the electrode active material constituting the electrode.
Since Li2S has a high theoretical capacity of 1167 mAh g-1, it is expected as a next-generation electrode active material. However, Li2S has a very low electrical conductivity of 10-9 S cm-1 or less, and cannot be used alone as an electrode active material. Attempts have been made to use this Li2S. for example, WO WO2016/063877 (Patent Document 1) discloses a solid solution that is treated by mixing LiI or LiBr with Li2S. Furthermore, in Hayashi, Hiroshi, et al., and the American Society of Japan Chemistry (2017) (Non-Patent Document 1), a positive electrode active material in which V2S3 and S are added and mixed with Li2S is disclosed.
