Abstract Provided is a composition for treating or preventing cancer through immunotherapy by inducing and activating dendritic cell-like cells. An agent for activating cancer immunity containing the following REIC protein as an active ingredient: (a) a protein including an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2; or (b) a protein including an amino acid sequence containing substitution, deletion or addition of one or more amino acids in the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2 and having an activity of inducing differentiation of monocytes into dendritic cell-like cells.
