Title METHOD FOR INCREASING YIELD OF STAPLE FOOD CROP
Abstract A method for increasing the yield of a staple food crop, which comprises bringing a compound represented by general formula (I) into contact with plant bodies (excluding seeds) of the staple food crop to be cultivated, wherein the staple food crop is preferably a cereal crop, a potato or yam, or the like. In general formula (I), R1 and R2 independently represent a hydrogen atom, or a monovalent substituent, or R1 and R2 are bound together to form an azo group; and R3 represents a hydrogen atom, or a monovalent substituent.
Scope of claims (In Japanese)
【請求項1】 下記一般式(I)で表される化合物と、主食作物の栽培用植物体(種子を除く)とを接触させることを含む主食作物生産増収方法。

(一般式(I)中、R1及びR2は、それぞれ独立して水素原子もしくは1価の置換基、又は、R1とR2が互いに連結したアゾ基を表し、R3は水素原子又は1価の置換基を表す)

【請求項2】 前記主食作物が、穀物類又は芋類である請求項1記載の主食作物生産増収方法。

【請求項3】 前記一般式(I)で表される化合物と、イネ科植物の栽培用植物体とを接触させて土耕栽培を行うことを含む請求項1又は請求項2記載の主食作物生産増収方法。

【請求項4】 前記一般式(I)で表される化合物と、イネ科植物の栽培用植物体とを接触させて水耕栽培を行うことを含む請求項1又は請求項2記載の主食作物生産増収方法。

【請求項5】 前記一般式(I)で表される化合物と、ナス科、ヒルガオ科、キク科、サトイモ科、ヤマノイモ科又はトウダイグサ科植物に属する芋類の栽培用地下茎又は根とを接触させて栽培を行うことを含む請求項1又は請求項2記載の主食作物生産増収方法。
