The present invention provides a flexible, biocompatible transparent sheet (8) which has high biocompatibility and a high ability to adsorb a biologically relevant substance, which can be used as a novel biomaterial, and which can be used to observe the propagation, differentiation, and/or the like of living cells in real time.
The biocompatible transparent sheet (8) is produced in such a manner that a biocompatible ceramic film (2) is formed on a substrate (1) soluble in a solvent (11) incapable of dissolving biocompatible ceramics by using exemplary a laser ablation process, the substrate (1) depositing the film (2) is dipped in the solvent (11) and dissolved off, and the isolated film (2) is then dried.
The biocompatible transparent sheet (8) is utilizable of producing a flexible cultured cell sheet which can be directly transplanted to an affected area.
The cell sheet can be prepared in such a manner that cells are seeded on the biocompatible transparent sheet (8) and then propagated.
Scope of claims [claim1]
1. A flexible, soft biocompatible transparent sheet which is obtained in such a manner that a biocompatible ceramic film is formed on a base including a portion soluble in a solvent incapable of dissolving biocompatible ceramics and the base having the biocompatible ceramic film is dipped in the solvent and then dissolved off, the biocompatible transparent sheet comprising the biocompatible ceramic film only.

2. The biocompatible transparent sheet according to Claim 1, having a thickness of 1 to 100 micron m.

3. The biocompatible transparent sheet according to Claim 1 or 2, having a perforation extending between the upper surface and lower surface thereof.

4. The biocompatible transparent sheet according to any one of Claims 1 to 3, wherein the substrate includes a portion insoluble in the solvent in addition to the solvent-soluble portion.

The biocompatible transparent sheet according to any one of Claims 1 to 4, wherein the film is formed by any one of a laser ablation process, a sputtering process, an ion beam deposition process, an electron beam deposition process, a vacuum evaporation process, a molecular beam epitaxy process, and a chemical vapor deposition process.

6. The biocompatible transparent sheet according to any one of Claims 1 to 5, wherein the biocompatible ceramic film isolated by dissolving the substrate is dried.

The biocompatible transparent sheet according to any one of Claims 1 to 6, wherein after the biocompatible ceramic film is formed or dried, the biocompatible ceramic film is heat-treated in a high-temperature atmosphere containing at least one of a steam-containing gas and a carbon dioxide-containing gas.

8. The biocompatible transparent sheet according to any one of Claims 1 to 7, wherein the biocompatible ceramic film is made of hydroxyapatite.

9. The biocompatible transparent sheet according to any one of Claims 1 to 7, wherein the biocompatible ceramic film is composed of different types of biocompatible ceramics.

10. A method for producing a biocompatible transparent sheet, comprising: a film-forming step of forming a biocompatible ceramic film on or above a substrate including a portion soluble in a solvent incapable of dissolving biocompatible ceramics;
and a dissolving step of dissolving the substrate having the biocompatible ceramic film by immersing the substrate in the solvent.

11. The biocompatible transparent sheet-producing method according to Claim 10, wherein the substrate includes a portion insoluble in the solvent in addition to the solvent-soluble portion.

The biocompatible transparent sheet-producing method according to Claim 10 or 11, wherein the biocompatible ceramic film is formed by any one of a laser ablation process, a sputtering process, an ion beam deposition process, an electron beam deposition process, a vacuum evaporation process, a molecular beam epitaxy process, and a chemical vapor deposition process.

13. The biocompatible transparent sheet-producing method according to any one of Claims 10 to 12, further comprising a drying step of drying the isolated biocompatible ceramic film isolated by dissolving the substrate.

The biocompatible transparent sheet-producing method according to any one of Claims 10 to 13, further comprising a step of heat-treating the biocompatible ceramic film in a high-temperature atmosphere containing at least one of a steam-containing gas and a carbon dioxide-containing gas, the heat-treating step being performed after the biocompatible ceramic film is formed or dried.

15. The biocompatible transparent sheet-producing method according to any one of Claims 10 to 14, wherein the biocompatible ceramic film is made of hydroxyapatite.

16. The biocompatible transparent sheet-producing method according to any one of Claims 10 to 14, wherein the biocompatible ceramic film is composed of different types of biocompatible ceramics.

17. A flexible, soft cell sheet which can be directly transplanted to a living organism and which is obtained in such a manner that cells are seeded on the biocompatible transparent sheet according to any one of Claims 1 to 9 and then propagated.
