|Title||METHOD FOR ENRICHMENT AND/OR ISOLATION OF DOPAMINERGIC NEURONS|
A method which comprises transferring reporter nucleic acid molecules, which express a fluorescent protein under the regulation by the promoter/enhancer of a gene expressed in dopaminergic neurons, into individual cells of a cell ma ss and separating fluorescing cells from this cell mass. A method which compris es transferring the above-described reporter nucleic acid molecules into individual cells of a cell mass and measuring the fluorescence distribution of the cell mass to thereby visualize and identify the dopaminergic neurons occurring in the cell mass in a viable state.
A method of identifying a dopaminergic neuron inductive factor which comprises transferring a reporter nucleic acid molecule into cells capable of differentiating into dopaminergi c neurons, allowing these cells to coexist with a candidate substance and then determining whether or not the candidate substance is a dopaminergic neuron inductive factor with the use of the fluorescence of the cells as an indication.
