Abstract The purposes of the present invention are to identify a gene involved in taking-in of aluminum into plants and to provide a method for using the gene. Specifically, a polynucleotide encoding a polypeptide which comprises the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1, or a polynucleotide encoding a polypeptide which comprises an amino acid sequence produced by substituting, deleting and/or adding one or several amino acids in the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 and has an activity of promoting the taking-in of aluminum is introduced into a plant such that the polynucleotide is able to be expressed.
Outline of related art and contending technology BACKGROUND ART

 下記の(a)または(b)のポリヌクレオチドを、植物に発現可能に導入することを特徴とする、形質転換植物の生産方法:
 (a)配列番号1に示すアミノ酸配列からなるポリペプチドをコードするポリヌクレオチド;
 (b)配列番号1に示すアミノ酸配列において、1個または数個のアミノ酸が置換、欠失、および/または付加されたアミノ酸配列からなり、且つアルミニウムの取り込みを促進させる活性を有するポリペプチドをコードするポリヌクレオチド。

 請求項1に記載の形質転換植物の生産方法によって生産されたことを特徴とする形質転換植物。

[請求項3]
 アルミニウムの取り込みを促進させた形質転換植物を作製するためのキットであって、
 下記の(a)または(b)のポリヌクレオチドを備えていることを特徴とするキット:
 (a)配列番号1に示すアミノ酸配列からなるポリペプチドをコードするポリヌクレオチド;
 (b)配列番号1に示すアミノ酸配列において、1個または数個のアミノ酸が置換、欠失、および/または付加されたアミノ酸配列からなり、且つアルミニウムの取り込みを促進させる活性を有するポリペプチドをコードするポリヌクレオチド。
