Title AXIAL GAP MOTOR
Abstract Provided is an axial gap motor that uses non-rare earth magnets, wherein decrease in the magnet torque thereof can be limited, and the reluctance torque thereof can be increased. The axial gap motor (10) is provided with a rotor (11), and a pair of stators (21) installed opposing the rotor (11) so as to sandwich the rotor (11) in the rotation axis (11a) direction of the rotor (11), with a gap (G) interposed therebetween. The rotor (11) is provided with a plurality of non rare-earth magnets (13) installed separately from each other along the circumference direction of the rotation axis (11a), and a plurality of magnetic body sections (15) installed in between the plurality of non rare-earth magnets (13) with a plurality of non-magnetic body sections (17c) interposed therebetween. The magnetic permeability of the plurality of magnetic body sections (15) is greater than the magnetic permeability of the plurality of non rare-earth magnets (13), and the plurality of non rare-earth magnets (13) and the plurality of magnetic body sections (15) prescribe the opposing faces (11S) of the rotor (11) opposing the pair of stators (21).
