発明の概要(英語) Disclosed is an ASE-free external resonator laser in which reduction in tuning range and decrease in output are suppressed. The external resonator laser comprises: a fixed support body which has a half mirror that partially reflects incident light and partially transmits incident light fixed therein; and a rotary support body which is rotatably supported by the fixed support body by way of a shaft, and which has a laser chip that emits light, a collimator lens that collimates light emitted from the laser chip, and a diffraction grating that diffracts light emitted from the laser chip, fixed therein.
従来技術、競合技術の概要(英語) BACKGROUND ART
A tunable laser may be, in the field of analysis of chemical substances or a material structure that is useful, as one of the tunable laser is the external cavity laser. In general the external cavity laser, and the optical gain medium (light source), the optical gain medium to resonate the light emitted from the external resonator, the external cavity to tune the resonance frequency of the oscillation wavelength can be adjusted. In particular, a semiconductor laser diode and an external cavity laser includes a gain medium, to cope with a wide wavelength range, and, a compact, easily manufactured at relatively low cost is an advantage.
