Abstract

In order to implement new usage methods from a standpoint of efficient usage of radio wave resources, such as data communication or positioning with radio-wave format wireless tags which are usable at ISM 5Ghz or 24Ghz microwave frequency bands, the present invention implements a high-sensitivity, low-power consumption RF receiving protocol. A microwave frequency band stub resonance booster circuit is employed, which uses a passive operation to boost RF signal amplitude by carrying out an impedance conversion on an inputted RF signal with a 0.01pF - 0.2pF micro-capacitor element and a ?g/2 open stub element which are made to resonate in series. Furthermore, treating the DC resistance component of resonance boost output as an open state when voltage doubling and rectifying the resonance boosted RF signal eliminates the conventional need for a capacitor which would be inserted in order to repeat charging and discharging of the RF signal using two diodes, allowing obtaining rectified output and high-sensitivity reception and detection of the RF signal in the microwave bands without incurring capacitor effects which cause comparatively large insertion loss.
