Abstract

Manufacturing coated metal microparticles by metal ammine complex decomposition involves the problem of providing a method of facilitating manufacture, and concomitantly providing coated metal microparticles that can be sintered readily, particularly at a low temperature. The coated metal microparticle manufacturing method is characterized in including a first step in which an amine mixture containing an alkylamine having 6 or more carbon atoms and an alkylamine having 5 or less carbon atoms is mixed with a metal compound containing a metal atom, thus producing a complex compound containing the metal compound and an amine, and a second step in which metal microparticles are produced by decomposing the complex compound, by heating same.
