Provided as a novel bacteria for manufacturing polymers (macromolecules), a method for manufacturing polymers using the bacteria, and polymers manufactured by means of the method are: a bacteria which belongs to the Kocuria species, has polymer productivity, and has 16SrRNA gene including (A) DNA formed from a base sequence set forth in SEQ ID No. 1, or, (B) DNA which is at least 99.5% the same as a base sequence set forth in SEQ ID No. 1, in particular a new kind of bacteria 4B strain belonging to the Kocuria species (Kocuria sp. 4B) or a variant of the same
a method in which said bacteria is cultivated and a polymer containing cystathionine as a structural component is manufactured
and the polymer which is manufactured.
