MAGNESIUM-BASED HARD-MAGNETIC COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
The present invention provides a magnesium-based hard-magnetic composite material that has hard magnetism, is inexpensive and lightweight, and has high mechanical strength at room temperature and at high temperatures, and a method for producing same. Magnesium powder and barium ferrite powder are charged into a mixing device and are subjected to mechanical alloying. In this way, mechanical energy is applied to the magnesium powder, and thus, the magnesium powder is strained and subjected to work hardening, and the mechanical strength and the hardness thereof are increased. With this process, it is possible to obtain a powder mixture of the magnesium powder with increased mechanical strength and hardness and the barium ferrite powder. By charging the powder mixture into a mold and sintering same by spark plasma sintering while applying an external magnetic field, a sinter in which the direction of the magnetic moment of each particle in the barium ferrite powder is aligned in a single direction is molded.
