Abstract Disclosed is a composition for producing a plant body having an improved sugar content, which comprises glutathione, a polynucleotide encoding a ϝ-glutamylcysteine synthetase or a polynucleotide encoding a glutathione-binding plastid-type fructose-1,6-bisphosphate aldolase. Preferably, the composition comprises oxidized glutathione. It becomes possible to provide a composition for producing a plant having an improved sugar content conveniently.
Outline of related art and contending technology BACKGROUND ART
In general, fruits, vegetables, sugar esters such as grain containing plants. Indicated by the amount of the sugar content of the sugar, depending on the type of plant, having a sugar content that affect its commercial value. Therefore, in recent years, in order to increase the sugar content of the plant technical development has been carried out.
For example, the main tomato urashige and high sugar content is produced by the soil. In addition, high sugar content liquid fertilizer cultivated tomato production has been proposed a technique (patent document 1).
However, such as glutathione, intracellular substances that modulate the redox state of, differentiation of cells or organs can function as a regulator of known (patent document 2). In addition, glutathione is to function as plant growth adjustment auxiliary agent is known (patent document 3).
Scope of claims (In Japanese)請求の範囲 [1]
 細胞内の酸化還元状態を調節する物質(ただし過酸化水素を除く)を含有していることを特徴とする糖度が向上した植物体を作出するための組成物。

 上記細胞内の酸化還元状態を調節する物質が、グルタチオン、γ-グルタミルシステインシンセターゼをコードするポリヌクレオチド、又はグルタチオン結合性プラスチド型フルクトース-1,6-ビスリン酸アルドラーゼをコードするポリヌクレオチドであること特徴とする請求の範囲第1項に記載の組成物。

 上記細胞内の酸化還元状態を調節する物質が酸化型グルタチオンであることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項に記載の組成物。

 細胞内の酸化還元状態を調節する物質(ただし過酸化水素を除く)を備えていることを特徴とする糖度が向上した植物体を作出するためのキット。

[5]
 細胞内の酸化還元状態を調節する物質(ただし過酸化水素を除く)を用いて植物体を栽培する工程を含むことを特徴とする糖度が向上した植物体の作出方法。

[6]
 請求の範囲第5項に記載の作出方法により得られるものであることを特徴とする植物体。
