NOVEL NUCLEOSIDE ANALOG AND UTILIZATION THEREOF
Provided is a technique for detecting 8-oxo-dG in DNA with the use of a novel compound represented by formula (I). In formula (I): R1 represents a hydrogen atom, a protecting group for the 3'-hydroxyl group, an oligodeoxynucleotide group 1 (ODN group 1), or -P(OR3)R4 [wherein R3 represents a protecting group for the phosphate group
and R4 represents a dialkylamino group having two C1-6 alkyl groups attached to a nitrogen atom, said C1-6 alkyl groups being the same or different]
and R2 represents a hydrogen atom, a protecting group for the 5'-hydroxyl group, or an oligodeoxynucleotide group 2 (ODN group 2). The compound according to the present invention is useful in detecting oxidative mutation in a nucleic acid.
