A rectifying device comprises: a one-dimensional channel (18) formed of a semiconductor, through which electrons travel an electrode (26) for generating, by applying an electric field to the one-dimensional channel, an effective magnetic field in a direction intersecting with a direction in which the electrons travels, the effective magnetic field being attributable to spin-orbit coupling and acting on the electrons traveling in the one-dimensional channel and an external magnetic field generating unit (38) for generating an external magnetic field in the one-dimensional channel. |
