METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF PROGNOSIS OF PROSTATE CANCER, AND DIAGNOSTIC AGENT FOR USE IN THE METHOD
Disclosed is a method for determination of the possibility of metastasis of prostate cancer. Also disclosed is a diagnostic agent for use in the method. It is found that, in a case where bone metastasis is observed, the probability that the phosphorylation of a threonine residue at position-254 in NF-?B-p65/RelA occurs in a prostate cancer cell is significantly higher than that in a case where bone metastasis is not observed. Therefore, the method for determination of the possibility of metastasis of prostate cancer comprises the step of measuring human NF-?B-p65/RelA having a phosphorylated threonine residue at position-254in a prostate tissue isolated from a human body.
