The invention provides a protein selected from the following groups: (a) a protein composed of an amino acid sequence represented by sequence No. 2; (b) a protein composed of the amino acid sequence represented by sequence No. 2 one or several amino acids of which have been deleted, substituted, or added, such protein showing selenic acid-reducing activity when combined with a protein composed of the amino acid sequence represented by sequence No. 4, a protein composed of the amino acid sequence represented by sequence No. 6 and a protein composed of the amino acid sequence represented by sequence No. 8; and (c) a protein composed of an amino acid sequence having at least 98% homology with the amino acid sequence represented by sequence No. 2, such protein showing selenic acid-reducing activity when combined with a protein composed of the amino acid sequence represented by sequence No. 4, a protein composed of the amino acid sequence represented by sequence No. 6 and a protein composed of the amino acid sequence represented by sequence No. 8.
