Abstract The present invention is a polymer-metal complex crystal encapsulating a guest compound wherein the polymer-metal complex comprises ligands having two or more coordination sites and a metal ion as the central metal which is characterized in having a three-dimensional network structure formed by coordinating the ligand with the metal ion and formed by encapsulating at least one compound selected from aliphatic hydrocarbon, alicyclic hydrocarbon, ethers, esters, aromatic hydrocarbon, halogenated hydrocarbon and nitriles as a guest compound (A) in the pores of the polymer-metal complex having pores three-dimensionally arranged with regularity in the three-dimensional network structure or the like, and the amount of the guest compound (A) of 60 mol% or more with respect to all the guest compounds encapsulated in the pores or the like; a method for producing thereof, a method for producing a sample for crystal structure analysis using the crystal and a method for determining the molecular structure of the organic compound using the sample obtained by the above-mentioned method.
The present invention is useful while determining the molecular structure of an infinitesimal trace of organic compound.
