発明の概要(英語) An anti-vasohibin 2 antibody that recognizes the amino acids at the 269- to 288-positions in the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:2, a recombinant anti-vasohibin 2 antibody, or a fragment thereof. The anti-vasohibin 2 antibody according to the present invention is capable of recognizing vasohibin 2 protein at a high specificity and inhibiting the neovascularization promoting function of vasohibin 2 protein. Thus, a medicinal composition containing the anti-vasohibin 2 antibody is appropriately usable in, for example, treating diseases, such as cancer, where neovascularization should be inhibited.
従来技術、競合技術の概要(英語) BACKGROUND ART
Is angiogenesis, tissue or organ existing in the tail vein of an animal, the blood capillaries of the vascular endothelial cell migration, proliferation and tube formation by vascular phenomenon in which new blood vessels are formed. On the other hand, the inventors of the present invention, vasohibin 2 disclosed in patent document 2, that is, AK022567 protein, as well as that of variant of the protein, BC051856 protein, BC053836 protein, BC028194 protein, and AY834202 proteins, such as cancer or cerebral vascular pathology similar to that in hypoxia, in promoting angiogenesis also found that the, (see Patent Document 3) reported.
