Title EUTECTIC COLLOIDAL CRYSTALS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND SOLIDIFIED BODY OF EUTECTIC COLLOIDAL CRYSTALS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Abstract [Problem] To provide: "eutectic colloidal crystals" as an aggregate of multiple kinds of colloidal crystals coexisting together, said colloidal crystals having different lattice constants; a solidified body of the eutectic colloidal crystals obtained by solidifying the same; a method for producing the eutectic colloidal crystals; and a method for producing the solidified body of the eutectic colloidal crystals. [Solution] The eutectic colloidal crystals according to the present invention comprise colloidal crystals mixed together, said colloidal crystals consisting of two or more kinds of substantially monodispersive colloidal particles having different particle sizes. The eutectic colloidal crystals can be obtained by: preparing a colloidal dispersion wherein two or more kinds of colloidal particles having different particle sizes, each of said colloidal particles having a variation coefficient of particle size of less than 20%, are dispersed in a dispersion medium in which a polymer, said polymer not being adsorbed by the colloidal particles, is dissolved (a dispersion preparing step); and allowing the colloidal dispersion to stand (an eutectoid step).
Scope of claims [claim1]
1. Colloid crystal of the opal type where coefficient of variance of particle diameter consists of the colloidal particle under 20% 2 kinds or more, the colloid eutectic which has existed together at the position where it is locked.
