Abstract The purpose of the present invention is to make visible the association of sound symbolizing words with multiple senses, and to assist in the comprehension of sound symbolizing words. The present invention is provided with the following: an input unit for inputting a plurality of sound symbolizing words; a quantitative evaluation unit for carrying out quantitative evaluation, with a plurality of adjective-pair scales, on the input sound symbolizing words input using the input unit; a position disposition unit for performing main-component analysis on the quantitative evaluation results of the quantitative evaluation unit, and for disposing, on a distribution diagram the axis of which is a prescribed number of upper-level main components, adjective-pair position symbols on the basis of a main-component load of adjective pairs, and sound symbolizing word position-symbols on the basis of a main-component score of the sound symbolizing words; and a region disposition unit for acquiring a main-component score for each position on the distribution diagram, for calculating adjective-pair evaluation values on the basis of the acquired main-component scores, for calculating the degree of association of the senses at the positions on the basis of the calculated evaluation values and the sense degree-of-association of the adjective pairs, and for disposing, on the diagram, regions for the senses where prescribed values are the boundaries of such regions.
